Haunted Places in India

Brij Raj Bhavan Palace (Kota)

The place is believed to be haunted by the ghost of Major Burton, the British Resident of Kota. He, along with his two sons, was killed in the central hall of the building by Indian soldiers.


Dow Hill (Kurseong, WB)

Numerous strange and haunting incidents have been reported from this place, including hearing footsteps and headless boy walking through the forest.


D’Souza Chawl, Mahim (Mumbai)

They say a lady died in D’Souza Chawl while fetching water from a well. She has been reportedly seen many a times near that particular well.


GP Block (Meerut, Uttar Pradesh)

Locals have seen boys and girls in a particular building, especially at nighttime. The kids come out in colorful dresses, play and sit at roof of the double-storey building.


Bhangarh Fort (Alwar, Rajasthan)

Bhangarh Fort is said to be cursed by a tantric. According to the curse, no one in that region can ever build a roof on their house. Government has barred any entry to the fort after sunset.


Dumas Beach (Surat, Gujarat)

However, it is a beautiful place; many paranormal activities have been reported at this particular beach in Surat. It is believed to be because Hindus burn the dead bodies around this beach


Hotel Savoy (Mussoorie)

They say a dead body was found in this hotel in mysterious conditions in 1910. Since then, the residents have reported spirit of that dead lady wandering in the hotel corridors and aisles


Raj Kiran Hotel (Mumbai)

Strange incidents have been reported by residents of this hotel. According to them, they have been woken up in the middle of the night by someone unknown and invisible, pulling their bed sheet.


Ramoji Film City (Hyderabad)

They say the Film City is built on the war grounds of Nizam Sultans. Many paranormal activities have been reported in the Film City in the past, like things moving, mirrors with different marks in Urdu language, torn clothes, etc.


Shaniwarwada Fort (Pune)

They say a Peshwa dynasty heir was assassinated here by one of his relatives; he was just 13 at that time. According to the incident, he was running all across the fort crying for help; the cries that people still hear at full-moon night.
